Job Description

Overview of Position

We currently have an opening for a Workflow Coordinator/Copy Editor to join our design team. In this position, you will copyedit and oversee the production of creative, concise infographics in a fun, fast-paced setting. If you are enthusiastic, highly motivated and outgoing with an eye for detail, a copyediting background and strong graphic design skills, this is the position for you.

As a Workflow Coordinator/Copy Editor, you will work with many of the country's top attorneys and have the opportunity to consult with clients regarding presentation needs and strategies for designing and displaying case information. You will join a highly talented production staff while learning the operations side of our business. We place a great deal of importance on fostering a collaborative, supportive team environment; all of our employees work together to ensure that deadlines are met. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee projects related to complex and high-profile litigation from conception to completion.

This position is on our second shift, Monday to Friday, with typical hours of 3-11 p.m. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible; because of the unpredictable nature of litigation, employees are occasionally asked to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of high-concept and dynamic graphics that will be used in trials, hearings and arbitrations as on-screen presentations and large exhibit boards, ranging in complexity from simple text charts to detailed illustrations.
  • Copyedit graphics for grammar, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Manage and oversee graphics and multimedia projects to ensure that the process runs efficiently and that high standards are maintained in service and quality.
  • Communicate with clients during the entire graphics process, from preparation through revisions and production.
  • Monitor projects to ensure that deadlines and client needs are being met.
  • Coordinate with the production team to allocate resources and assign projects.

Qualifications

  • A four-year degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience are required.
  • Relevant experience includes work in a project management position or in any setting that requires a high attention to detail, ideally with design-related projects. A background in copyediting or proofreading is essential.
  • Applicants must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • We are seeking individuals with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to perform some manual labor.
  • Driver's license must be valid/clean, and must be able to drive a van.
